A PORTAL BETWEEN THE LIVE AND VIRTUAL WORLD

The ARK Portal is a drag and drop next generation immersive concert builder. It enables artists to present a new type of music experience. This is a live venue, live audience experience, where remote attendees can login to attend via PC/Mac/Mobile/VR.

WHAT IT MEANS FOR ARTISTS

We’ve worked with artists, partnering to showcase and test the LIVE RIG in underground performances in cinemas, warehouses, music venues and galleries across Europe and the UK. With our live rig artists can:

  • Hold residencies worldwide
  • Offer intimate performances
  • Collaborate with new-media artists
  • Design pop-ups that can be licensed at multimedia experience venues
  • Take advantage of day-time and evening shows
  • Sell more tickets to a virtual audience
  • Reach new audiences

Suddenly, there are 2.5 billion gamers in the world who are potentially virtual concert goers. It’s pretty amazing that some of these gamers could attend your shows alongside fans from all around the world in a collective experience.

THE INTERFACE

Artists or crew are able to control the experience via a simple interface, accessible via the app store (Android/Apple). The control system is comprised of sliders, toggles, buttons and monitors that control performance dynamics and offer feedback on attendees and audience interactivity:

A GROUNDBREAKING MUSIC EXPERIENCE

We’ve been building prototypes, taking them to festivals, art galleries, warehouses and cinemas around the world, working with artists and creatives, getting feedback and selling tickets until we felt we had something that was truly special.

Here’s a sneak peak of how the LIVE RIG works and what it looks like:

The audience loved it. Check out some of their reactions from a three-day residency we did with electronic artist Miro Shot at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Amsterdam:
